Barre Class
A Barre Fitness class is a dynamic low-impact workout that combines elements of Ballet, Pilates and Cardio. Participants use a ballet barre for support while performing small low-impact, as well as bigger high-intensity movements, whilst maintaining control through movements that target specific muscle groups. This full-body workout targets muscles often overlooked, that improves strength, flexibility, and posture. Benefits include enhanced muscle tone, increased core strength, improved balance, and a sculpted physique. The incorporation of isometric exercises in Barre helps to engage muscles without putting excessive strain on joints, making it suitable for various fitness levels. Regular attendance can lead to improved endurance, body awareness, and a sense of overall well-being.
Pilates Mat
(Important note: Mat classes to be taken before Reformer sessions)
A Pilates Mat session is your fundamental class where body and mind meets and connects to your Core a.k.a The Power House in Pilates. It is a low-impact exercise session that focuses on core strength, flexibility, posture and overall body awareness. Participants perform a series of controlled movements on a mat, utilizing their body weight for resistance. This workout enhances muscle tone, improves posture, and increases flexibility and strength, through your mind-body connection. Pilates also emphasizes breath control, promoting relaxation and stress reduction. Regular attendance can lead to better balance, coordination, and a stronger core, making it an effective practice for individuals of varying fitness levels. This is also beneficial to continue on gaining strength in muscle recovery after injury and physiotherapy sessions.
Pilates Reformer
A Pilates Reformer class is a low-impact, highly effective resistance and strength exercise session that utilizes a specialized machine called the Reformer. This equipment consists of a sliding carriage, springs, and straps to facilitate a wide range of resistance-based movements. Participants engage in controlled, precise motions targeting specific muscle groups, enhancing strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness. The benefits include improved posture, core strength, and joint stability, making it an effective option for individuals of various fitness levels seeking a full-body workout with reduced impact on joints. It also includes an additional piece of equipment called the Jumpboard, on which cardio exercises are performed, mainly whilst lying down on your back or either side of the body.
Personal Training
A personal training session is a tailored fitness experience led by a certified trainer. This one-on-one approach allows for customized workouts based on your goals, fitness level, and any specific needs or limitations. The benefits include personalized guidance, efficient and effective workouts, motivation, accountability, and expertise in proper form and technique, ensuring a safer and more productive fitness journey.
Initial full-body assessment
The first initial session is always a full-body assessment, where I get to know more about you, your history, the current headspace you’re in, life phases, personal goals and aspirations, challenges and more, so that I am able to walk alongside you on this exciting journey to wellness and for me to accurately create a fitness program specifically for you as an individual. This is for safety purposes, reassurance and to track your progress along the way. It includes various fitness, strength and flexibility tests, questions regarding your history and health, as well as disability, challenges and/or difficulties and mainly, your goals!
